Source of Strength

It's up to X to take that final shot, though it pains him-- his duty, his blame, his repentance. Yet he takes some measure of comfort in knowing that, there at the end, Zero will be there to lend him his strength.



...Except we all know that half the time Zero comes to X's rescue, Zero himself ends up dying. Pfft.

This picture fought against me every step of the way. I had to force myself to work on it until it was finished. I mean, once I've put enough time into something I'll usually want to carry through with it 'til the end, and I did eventually move past that point... But jeez, what a pain!

However, I'm pretty happy with it now. It may have taken some work and a lot of aggravation, but I admit that I'm eager to share it. I hope it's appreciated. (:

Right, one thing I want to address: if I recall correctly, they bleed in the games... right? Even if only a little? It doesn't make sense to me-- mechanical beings bleeding! But I find it's really hard to resist adding some smears of blood, at least, when depicting someone all banged up. And come on, drawing blood is fun! ...And there's my justification. Maybe it's not blood, maybe it's oil, or a mysterious circulatory fluid for machines or something. Idk.

Yeah, one of these days I'll draw X and he won't be unconscious, battered, or fatigued... But I'm not making any promises, lol.
