I haven't gone through your gallery in a while, and I'm realizing again that you're really fucking good.
:icondetachmenttenshi:
why don't you draw tokio hotel anymore?

I was wondering when someone was going to ask me this.

Honestly? It's because I'm not very interested in them anymore. Maybe when they release their album and begin making public appearances again I'll rediscover that fondness I once had for them, but until that happens-- until they make themselves available to the media & fans again-- I probably will not be drawing them.

Sad, yeah, but I mean... aside from all the drama with Tom and the stalkers, Gustav and the bar fight, etc, they've been virtually MIA since about late December of last year. :/

somehow i never thought that they have to be public for the fans to love them, i enjoy the music as it is and yes, you are partially right when you say that it's easier when they are available for us all but i think that they deserve their privacy, it's just that your drawings were , are wonderful and you don't even have to be a fan of tokio hotel to enjoy that :)

I can't say I'm the best person for you to be asking-- I've only done one fox (that I intend to make some improvements to when I get the time), and I'm still learning. But I will try my best to answer any questions you have.

Thank you sooo much for getting back to me, a complete stranger, and for your time!!

My q's are pretty basic:

How did u make the head and ears workable/pliable? did u soak it/them(just the head I mean) (if so how long), or 'spritz' it with a solution and wait? (what kind of sloution) if so, how long was it before you could work it over or with it to the head mount.

And #2, did u prep or oil the tanned skin side before you stuffed it? Did u do anything to the pelt before you began ur work? how long did u let it 'dry' in this way if you did anything at all?

and lastly #3, did u do anything special to ur foxy to smell less like a pelt? if so, what?

if you have any other advice, (like sewing it inside out perhaps?) I sure could use it. I am just doing this one animal, this one coyote because I am highly intrigued, and I'd love to hear from someone who did the same thing, as a first timer, for the same reasons.

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!
~A
